You won’t want to miss Maine Maple Sunday this year

Every single morning for breakfast, The Girl eats a waffle with cut up fruit on the side, and the best topping around – Maine-made maple syrup.

So this weekend, her mind is going to be blown.

Because this Sunday is the best Sunday in March — Maine Maple Sunday!

The Maine Maple Producers Association hosts the one-day celebration of sweet, sticky goodness on the fourth Sunday of March each year. Most sugarhouses throughout the state will offer free maple syrup samples and demonstrations about how maple syrup is made. Some will even offer pancake breakfasts, games, activities and music.

We’ll be out and about this Sunday filling our bellies with everything from straight syrup to my favorite – maple syrup cotton candy.

So this weekend, grab the family, and check out this convenient map to find a participating sugarhouse near you.
