Christmas through an almost 1-year-old’s eyes

unnamed

Now that Christmas is officially on its way, I’m realizing how much more special this season is with a little one experiencing it all for the first time. Last year, the girl was only days old on Christmas morning. I was so sleep deprived and overwhelmed, I couldn’t even fathom getting dressed, let alone starting traditions or making a big dinner.

This year though, the world is new and exciting. I present seven joys of Christmas through an almost-1-year-old’s eyes:

1. Blow up Santas

2. Animatronic reindeer and elves

3. Sparkly dresses

4. Christmas lights waiting to be pulled out of the wall

5. Pine needles perfect for picking up and practicing those fine motor skills

6. Wrapping paper for tearing, crunching and eating

7. Ornaments on the tree (bonus points if they break)
